Our People We Support Awards Celebration is much more than an event – it is a chance to recognise the incredible achievements, resilience and determination of the people we support. It is an opportunity to celebrate individuals who have overcome barriers, achieved personal goals and made remarkable progress throughout the year.
Every award tells a story of courage, growth and success. Whether someone has gained greater independence, developed new skills, secured employment, strengthened relationships, or overcome personal challenges, this event gives them the recognition they deserve in front of family, friends, peers and supporters.
We are writing to warmly invite you to support Outward’s People We Support Awards 2026.
Celebrating 50 Years of Support
For the past 50 years, Outward has proudly supported people with learning disabilities, autistic people, older adults and young people at risk across northeast London to live more independent and fulfilling lives.
Throughout this time, we have helped create opportunities, build confidence and support people to achieve their aspirations, while remaining active members of their communities – in a society that is too often closed off to people with differing needs.
As a not-for-profit charity, Outward relies on the generosity of donors, sponsors and supporters to help make special opportunities like this possible. The People We Support Awards is one of the highlights of our year, bringing together more than 230 people for an afternoon of recognition, pride and celebration.
Why We Need Your Support
To ensure the event remains affordable and accessible to the people we support, we only ask attendees to make a nominal ticket contribution. Unfortunately, this covers only a small proportion of the costs involved, and we rely on fundraising and sponsorship to deliver the event.
With your support, we can create an unforgettable day that celebrates achievement, promotes inclusion and reminds people just how valued they are.

A Seat at the Table – £35
Sponsor one guest to attend the Awards Celebration.

Fund a table for up to ten guests.

Event Sponsor – £2,000
Become one of our principal sponsors and help cover the essential costs of delivering the Awards Celebration, including catering, entertainment, awards, accessibility requirements and event delivery.

Fund the venue and provide the foundation for the entire event. Your sponsorship will help us secure a safe, accessible and inspiring space where achievements can be recognised and celebrated.
As part of your sponsorship, and with your permission, we will publicly thank you and your brand at the awards (where local authority commissioners will be in attendance), feature your brand on our social media, our internal intranet, our website and any other media as part of the “People We Support Awards” news.

Making an Even Greater Difference
Should we be fortunate enough to exceed our fundraising target for the Awards Celebration, any additional funds raised will be donated to Outward’s Respite and Activity Holiday Programme.
This programme enables people we support to enjoy a supported activity holiday in Nutley Edge, East Sussex, creating opportunities for independence, friendship, new experiences and lasting memories that many would otherwise be unable to access.
