The Sports and Outdoor Pursuits Activity Break was packed with exciting activities, new experiences, and plenty of opportunities for our guests to have fun, learn new skills, and make lasting memories.
Monday – Mini Golf and Creative Expression
We started the week with a game of mini golf. Although the weather was rainy, everyone embraced the challenge and enjoyed spending time outdoors together.
In the evening, we held an arts and crafts session to mark Learning Disability Week. The guests created artwork that represented what is most important to them, giving everyone an opportunity to express themselves creatively and share their thoughts and values through art.
Tuesday – Sports Day
Tuesday began with a relaxing yoga session, helping everyone start the day feeling refreshed and energised.
Later, guests took part in an outdoor sports tournament, where teamwork, friendly competition, and encouragement were on full display. The day was rounded off with a lively karaoke evening, with everyone enjoying the chance to sing their favourite songs and dance together.
Wednesday – Day Trip to Knockhatch Adventure Park
Wednesday was one of the highlights of the week as we visited Knockhatch Adventure Park. There was something for everyone to enjoy, from meeting the animals to tackling the climbing activities.
The guests also had great fun on the waterslides and enjoyed exploring the park’s many rides and attractions. It was a busy day filled with excitement, adventure, and plenty of smiles. We ended the day with a pizza-making session.
Thursday – Forest School Fun
On Thursday, we welcomed Bel and the Forest School team for a fantastic day of outdoor activities.
The guests created their own medallions and enjoyed taking part in hands-on activities in nature. Despite the rainy weather, spirits remained high, and everyone got involved in an energetic water gun competition, which brought lots of laughter and excitement to the day.
Friday – Archery and Farewells
To end the week, we visited Blackland Farm for an archery session. After a fun-filled morning, it was time to travel back to London.
Although the week had come to an end, everyone left with wonderful memories, new friendships, and many experiences to look back on.
A Brilliant Week
It was an incredible week, and we would like to thank everyone who participated and helped make it such a success. We are already looking forward to our next adventure together.
