Nutley Edge Activity Breaks are Outward’s supported holidays for adults with learning disabilities and autism. Situated in the heart of the Sussex countryside on the edge of the famous Ashdown Forest, our guests are guaranteed to feel relaxed and refreshed after their holiday.
On this break, guests will enjoy a relaxing holiday with activities designed to make our guests feel restored and rejuvenated. Previous Pampering breaks have featured activities such as massages from a local masseuse, scented soap making workshops, relaxation sessions, and chair yoga in our luxury yurt. Our accommodation is bright and modern, and guests will either stay in our 17th century farmhouse or one of our cottages, all with stunning views across the countryside. Staff are are fully trained in administering medication, providing personal care and all other support and care training in accordance with CQC regulations. Importantly, they also love taking part in our famous Karaoke dance parties, which are a firm guest favourite.

Celebrate the festive season in the heart of the countryside!

On this break, guests can kick off their Christmas celebrations with a range of festive activities. In previous years, guests have:

Reboot and recharge
Looking for a space to recharge after the hustle and bustle of Christmas? Our reboot and recharge activity break will leave you feeling refreshed and ready for the year ahead!
The week will be filled with relaxing and reviving activities, such as sounds bath, meditation, yoga and massage. We will also organise a spa day at Nutley, as well as a therapeutic art session and a day trip to the coast for some retail therapy.

Winter warmer
What better way to spend the half term, than a cosy activity break to Nutley Edge! Our Winter Warmer holiday is a great place to warm up than movie nights with hot chocolate, arts and craft workshops and soul warming activities.

Food lovers
Do you love food and is cooking your passion? Then our Food Lovers Activity Break is for you!
The week will be filled with meals from around the world, as well as meals out in the local area. We will be hosting our Nutley Edge Master Chef competition to see who can take the heat in the kitchen and be crowned our master chef!
We will take a day trip to a local town for some exciting lunch out and some retail therapy. We will also have a visit from the Forest School and learn to cook food over open flame, what a great way to connect with nature! And of course, most importantly, we will be hosting our karaoke party, so start practicing your favourite songs and your dance moves.
Our Food Lovers activity break is a great way to learn some new cooking skills and try some new cuisine! Harry Potter theme
Are you a Harry Potter fan or would you like to become one?
For the first time ever, we will be hosting our Harry Potter themed activity break. Get into the wizarding world of Hogwarts quizzes, Harry Potter themed cooking sessions, castle visits & costume competitions!
Ever wondered what Hogwarts house you belong to? Well, the first day of the holiday, we will be arranging a hat ceremony and decorate Nutley Edge to become our own little Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry. We will arrange arts and craft sessions, where everyone will be able to make their own wand and we will arrange our own Quiddich game.
So, call on your inner wizard, and who knows, maybe this is your time to receive your acceptance letter to Hogwarts!
