About Us

Outward (Housing) is a vibrant and inclusive charity providing care, supported housing, respite breaks and community support services to more than 450 people with learning disabilities, autism or other support needs due to age, circumstance or disability. We have been operating successfully for over 45 years, are part of the Newlon Group and work predominantly across North and East London.

We employ more than 400 people, provide services in 9 London boroughs and work with many community volunteers who support our charitable activities.

The Role

We are currently looking for an enthusiastic, creative and committed person to join our staff team at Century Court, one of our Older People Services in Hackney providing support to our older residents who have diverse range of support needs, including some with learning disabilities. The post will be a temporary till September’ 23 whilst the substantive post holder is acting up as Scheme Manager.

You will carry out a range of duties including; support planning, risk assessing, managing voids / lettings, taking responsibility for reporting repairs and H&S issues and dealing with enquiries from our residents, their families and contractors. We work alongside the Hackney care team, so effective interpersonal skills are a must.

The successful applicant will be expected to provide a high quality customer service to internal and external stakeholders. You must have good IT skills, the ability to co-ordinate and manage workloads effectively, and the experience of working with other team members to ensure that team objectives and targets are met. We are particularly keen to recruit someone who can demonstrate a “can-do” attitude, who is happy to multi-task in a busy environment.
