About the Role

Within Outward’s Older People’s schemes, we have flats which are rented by the local authority for interim lets. These flats provide a short-term home for older residents in Hackney who are no longer able to remain living in their homes but haven’t yet been offered permanent accommodation to suit their changing needs.

We are currently looking for an enthusiastic, creative and committed person to join our staff team and provide a housing management service to these people to ensure they are safe and their needs are met, both during their stay and when they are ready to move on. You will carry out a range of duties including; liaising with Hackney teams, settling in new occupants and managing their departure, risk assessing and responding to need, reporting repairs and H&S issues. You will liaise with families and work alongside care teams, so effective interpersonal skills are a must.

The successful applicant must have good IT skills, the ability to co-ordinate and manage workloads effectively, and the experience of working collaboratively with other team members. We are particularly keen to recruit someone who can demonstrate a “can-do” attitude, who is happy to multi-task in a busy environment.

If you would like a new challenge, feel you can bring a fresh approach, some new ideas and a commitment to supporting vulnerable people to have genuine control over their lives, then we want to hear from you.
