Mental Health

Mental health and wellbeing

Mental health, defined by the World Health Organization, is “a state of well-being in which the individual realizes his or her own abilities, can cope with the normal stresses of life, can work productively and fruitfully, and is able to make a contribution to his or her community”. Poor mental health can happen to anyone at any time and there is no shame in reaching out for help as it can greatly impact your life. If you are worried about your mental health seek support from your support worker and book an appointment with your GP.
