Contract:

  • Fixed Support Worker 3 x full time positions (38 hours per week)
  • Flexible Support Worker (zero hours) roles x 3 (depending on hours of availability)

Salary:

  • Fixed Post £19,813 (full time)
  • Flexible Post £10.00 per hour

Do you have the enthusiasm and positivity to actively support people to achieve their outcomes supporting them to live a good and meaningful life?

One day you could be supporting a person who has dementia to reminisce through music utilising your skills of patience, empathy and creativity.

The next day may bring an exciting outdoor activity to help a person we support access the community, meet others and get fit through football, bike riding, gardening or bowling.

Can you see yourself supporting a visually impaired person to develop awareness of different times of the day using an Alexa enabling them to have more control over their day?

Another day you could be helping people we support cook healthy meals from scratch helping them to succeed with their goals to develop cooking skills. No two days are the same.

About the Role

We are looking for enthusiastic and committed Support Workers to provide high quality care and support services to the people we support with learning disabilities in our Enfield services.

You will support people with their day to day life, to learn new skills and develop confidence and independence and to have a good quality of life. The duties are varied and no two days will be the same. The people we support are individuals and they all deserve to be treated as such. However duties may include supporting with personal care needs, empowering people to take part in a wide range of special interests and activities that support people’s health and welling such as arts and crafts, drama, musical evenings, enabling people to be involved in household tasks, shopping trips, cooking, as well as supporting people on social occasions.

Carterhatch supported living services is a group of accommodations for people with varying levels of learning disability. The service has a number of blocks with self-contained flats and communal areas, a shared house and the level of support ranges from minimal to 24 hours full care and support across the schemes.
