About us - Our senior team

Peter Little - Chief Executive Officer

Peter has a background in supported housing, learning disabilities, mental health and working with young offenders. He was the Senior Officer at Outward responsible for leading the charity into joining the Newlon Group in February 2001. This move has been a great success for Outward and for its customers, resulting in new opportunities and expansion into new geographical areas. It has also enabled Outward to develop new innovative services and solutions.

Peter is highly committed to ensuring that customers are at the heart of what Outward does and that they drive forward the quality agenda for the organisation. He also strongly believes that volunteering can change lives and build communities, and has succeeded in positioning Outward as a leader in the field of volunteering in social care. We are already seeing the positive outcomes this can achieve.

Nicky Boland - Director of Business Development

Nicky has worked in adult social care for over 25 years, starting out working in care homes for the elderly and volunteering at Mencap’s holiday clubs for children with disabilities on moving to London.

Lindy Shufflebotham - Director of Care and Support

Lindy has worked in the Care & Support area for 30 plus years. This has included working with Adults with Learning Disabilities and/or Mental Health issues as a provider and latterly as a Health Commissioner. Lindy’s recent work focussed on people who are at risk of being detained in Assessment and Treatment Units, finding community based alternative support to hospital care for people with behaviours that could be described as challenging. She is looking forward to continuing the drive to deliver person centred services for all the people who are supported by Outward.
