Alan McNab

Alan was raised in Scotland and has a degree in Mathematics and Statistics from the University of Dundee. Early jobs in economics and pharmaceutical research were followed by a commercial and leadership career with Shell International, including leading strategy, delivery and change programmes in customer-focused businesses in the UK, Europe and globally. He now works as an independent management consultant advising on performance improvement and acquisitions.

Alan’s career has provided him with a variety of skills including strategy development, management consultancy and financial, investment, change and programme management. He is non-executive director of a specialist UK software firm and has held several advisory and board director roles.

Married to Sue, Alan lives in London and his interests include jogging, hiking, gardening, the theatre and watching football.

Alan was attracted to Outward by its strong customer-led philosophy and its commitment to provide the services customers want in the way they would like them. From family experience he has seen the positive impact that quality-focused care provision integrated from various suppliers can have on individuals, families and communities. He believes passionately that being customer-led is the best way to succeed especially in today’s challenging times.
