Outward has published its new GDPR Privacy Notice

25th May 2018

As everyone will be aware, the European Union's General Data Protection Regulations, or GDPR, came into force on 25 May. Under the new regulations, organisation are required to explain why they collect personal data on people, how they use that data, and whether it will be shared with anyone else. They are also required to set out the rights of people on whom they have personal data.

Towards this end, organisations are required to produce a Privacy Notice, a public document explaining how they process data and people's rights. Please see document below.

The Privacy Notice is aimed at visitors to the website, principally though not exclusively the family and friends of, and advocates for, our customers and tenants. A separate Privacy Notice for staff and people volunteering with Outward is being added to the Outward intranet.

Outward is wholly committed to protecting people's personal data and towards that end is developing a range of measures under GDPR to enhance existing measures to keep to a minimum the potential for data breaches.
