Details about this new scheme

Developed in partnership with Newlon Housing Trust, this new development is made up of eight one-bed flats over three floors. The modern building is located just off Carterhatch Lane in Enfield

In brief:

  • Eight newly-developed one-bed flats, part of a larger learning disability service, covering four schemes in close proximity on Carterhatch estate
  • Minimum support requirement of 5 hours support per week
  • Visiting support staff – hours tailored to individual need
  • No overnight staff in building but waking
night in 24 hour scheme next door
  • Options for assistive technology to maximise independence with local staff are available in emergencies
  • Communal facilities - communal lounge area, wheelchair accessible communal WC at ground level, garden, 2 wheelchair-accessible parking spaces for visitors and deliveries.

Although there is not staff based permanently in the building, we can cater for people with varying needs as the service is next door to Desmond Court, an Outward 24-hour high support service with waking night. Assistive technology options can be utilised to alert local staff to any issues and support packages tailored to individual needs.
