Shirley Lane worked for Outward from July 1995 until her untimely death in October 2007. Shirley co-facilitated the Outward Gardening Group, the Art & Crafts Group, and also helped out from time to time with the Outward Music Group.
Outward thought it would be a good idea to mark her popularity with our service users and staff by commissioning a bench and commemorative plaque to be sited at the site of our Gardening Group at Davies Lane, Leytonstone. The garden is nearly always open, so service users and Shirley's family can visit and sit on the bench and remember their happy times with Shirley.
