Our Plans

Day Conference 2006

Day Conference 2006

Outward has grown its business over recent years. This results from a combination of winning new business in competition, organic growth through partnerships with commissioners, from close working within the Newlon Group and from merger.

Outward operates a robust business planning process and the current Business Plan has three central objectives:

  1. To continually improve the quality of our services.
  2. To ensure our continued financial security.
  3. To grow and develop our business.

Our business record is strengthened by our commitment to service user involvement. This means that our combination of good quality and cost-effective services and service user involvement makes Outward attractive.

We provide a range of person centred care and support services. We also provide a high quality housing management service to a number of Housing Associations.

We have a very customer-friendly, personalised handy-person service and small repairs service.

Outward is committed to a strategy of growth. We aim to grow by:

  • Working closely with our partner, Newlon.
  • Pursuing mergers that are beneficial to the business and service users.
  • Developing new service initiatives that commissioners value e.g. specialist autism services.
  • Developing partnerships with other providers.
  • Seeking partnerships with commissioners.
  • Developing services within existing contracts.
  • Selective tendering that ensures quality is not eroded by unrealistic pricing.

In growing our business, Outward is developing its business systems. We have developed our:

  • Risk management measures
  • Business planning process, with service user involvement
  • Quality Assurance services including service user based inspection and review
  • Financial planning

Outward has ambitions to grow but, with our strong ethos of care, service user involvement and good quality person centred services, we will ensure that we provide competitively priced services without weakening our core commitments and standards.
