Outward has a proud history of involving volunteers and we are always looking for committed and friendly volunteers. Volunteers make a valued contribution to people’s lives by reducing isolation, sharing skills and working alongside staff to create meaningful independence for vulnerable adults.

Roles

We look for people who have a genuine desire to support vulnerable people and are able to understand their view of the world. The roles are varied but you are likely to be supporting people in their homes, supporting people in the community, enabling people to improve their social lives or even supporting people to attend appointments or use public transport to get from A to B Part-time volunteers Our part-time volunteers commit at least four hours of their time per week. Duties vary and can range from befriending elderly residents, going to a disco with a person with learning disabilities or organising meetings in our young people’s services. Full-time (live-in) volunteers We have a dedicated team of full-time volunteers that volunteer their time for up to 35 hours per week. Not only do we provide excellent accommodation but we also pay their expenses and offer ongoing support and training. |
