Outward became aware of the need to specialise, in order to provide services to those whose lives are challenged by autism spectrum disorders, with the knowledge that the effects are wide ranging and individualised.
The ASD Specialist Service started in 2006 to offer a specialist, reliable, consistent and responsive service that has invested time in understanding the individual needs of those on the spectrum that we support.
Our ASD outreach service offers opportunities for individuals on the spectrum, to develop their skills and competencies so that they can live as valued members of their community and feel equal to their peers. We support them accordingly, understanding their needs, wants and equipping them with the necessary skills to be a part of the wider community. We also support the people around them, equipping them with the necessary skills to facilitate this.
